2 years ago, our very own stem cell chapter started
We got the trust and the great joy to build up a Danish department for Cellaviva. It was a perfect match, we were midwives with 15 years of experience in stem cell collection through companies such as CopyGen, Stemcare and Vita34. Cellaviva in turn was able to offer us one of the world’s foremost laboratories, with processes for the umbilical cord that no one else in Denmark could offer. Today, we are the only biobank that handles customer samples before freezing in the same way as it is done in the development of cell therapies. Each cell is analyzed and isolated, customers get the exact number of cells they have frozen.
Driven of passion for the benefits of saving stem cells
After the umbilical cord is cut, the remaining umbilical cord and placenta contain stem cells, the same stem cells that help your baby develop organs, blood, tissue and an immune system during pregnancy. Stem cells are the building blocks of the body, which give it the ability to heal, and they offer essentially unlimited applications in therapeutic treatment. As midwives, it is a very good feeling to be able to care for a late cord clamping at the same time as we enable life-saving treatment options in the future, parents do not have to choose. Of course, we want to facilitate stem cell savings for as many families as possible and celebrate our anniversary with a celebration offer for our customers!
