When it comes to pregnancy and childbirth, there is nothing more important than feeling safe and in good hands. Both Grandfather Jan and Mother Denice experienced this during Denice’s pregnancy and childbirth with little Kurt when Jan decided to collect stem cells for his future grandchild.

“Due to my daughter’s previous restless pregnancy and the worries she, as well as the whole family, had during Kurt’s pregnancy, I hoped to have an extra ‘lifeline’ beyond the public system, as well as personal support where you could call 24 hours a day,” explains Jan.

“When a routine check turned into an emergency cesarean section, there wasn’t really any control over anything, but Cellaviva’s midwives just took it in stride – and even kindly took our keys and drove by to pick up our things, which we hadn’t grabbed in all the chaos. After our experience leading up to the birth, it just felt right to have you there on the big day – and that you should be some of the first to meet Kurt,” recalls Denice.
