We have lymphoma and autoimmune diseases in the family

We welcomed Lasse on 11/12/23, and despite him being a little star gazer, which meant he took a bit longer to come out, we faithfully had a midwife from Cellaviva on standby along with our own midwife.

When the placenta came, actually along with the baby, everything went smoothly like a well-oiled machine, and we actually didn’t feel anything about the process as a family at the moment of birth and immediately after. Your midwife was good at keeping in the background and doing her job.

Answers to your questions:

  • Why did you decide to collect your baby’s stem cells? We have several cases of lymphoma and potentially fatal autoimmune diseases in the family.
  • How did you experience the process and collaboration with Cellaviva’s midwives? As mentioned in the text above, a sweet and discreet midwife during the moment of birth and afterwards, good support and information beforehand.
  • How do you feel the decision to collect stem cells will affect your baby’s future health? We hope it will be an asset for all our children, a life insurance. We feel more secure with the cells in storage than without.

Best regards,
Mia and Morten von Seelen
