The opportunity to potentially find a cure for any serious illness

After reaching my late thirties and not meeting my dream partner, I decided to make a “Plan B” and have kids as a solo mum.

Luckily, I was able to get pregnant twice via IUI, but I am 42 and if anything were to ever happen to either of my daughters, I doubt I’d be in a physical or mental position to attempt having a third child.

I therefore chose to become a Cellaviva client partly for that reason and also after a close friend here in Copenhagen lost her 6-year-old son to a rare terminal illness he was diagnosed with at the age of three.

Cellavivas service – whilst not a guarantee – at least offers the opportunity to potentially find a cure for any serious illness either of the girls may encounter should the worst happen. With all that in mind, I signed the paperwork end of 2020 and my first daughter arrived 22 Jan 2021.

Cellaviva provided a great service on the day, so much so I have opted to use them again for my second daughter who is currently one week overdue, but who will hopefully arrive in the next few days…. I will be happy to have someone from Cellaviva there, even though we hope never to have to use the stem cells in future.
